Facilities and Fleet Manager in Scarborough, Maine at Mainely Tubs

Mainely Tubs is seeking a Facilities and Fleet Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the safety, functionality, appearance, and cost-effective operation of the company’s facilities and vehicle fleet. This is an individual-contributor management position with no direct reports.

This individual will assess needs, establish priorities, coordinate vendors, manage projects and budgets, and ensure preventive maintenance and repairs are completed properly and on time. This position is not expected to personally perform maintenance or repairs but must have enough practical knowledge to evaluate issues, select qualified service providers, and oversee their work.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• Five or more years of experience in facilities management, fleet management, property management, operations, project management, or a related field.
• Experience overseeing multiple locations and coordinating outside contractors.
• Working knowledge of building systems, vehicle maintenance, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to assess problems, evaluate vendor recommendations, and make sound business decisions.
• Experience obtaining proposals, negotiating pricing, and managing vendor relationships.
• Strong project-management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, review invoices, and analyze operating costs.
• Safety mindset and understanding of compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical proficiency and ability to learn new software systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel regularly between company locations.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.

Core Schedule/Hours: Monday thru Friday/7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Salary commensurate with experience.
