Job Description
Responsible for assisting the Regional Operations Manager in the daily functions of operating the Stuart Thrift Store.
Qualifications
Prior work experience in a retail environment. Some management experience preferred. Excellent people skills. Ability to maintain harmonious, constructive relationships with internal and external customers. Valid Florida driver’s license with proof of current auto insurance. Ability to lift small furniture items in-house, customer’s homes and in outside storage rental space. Attendance is a condition of employment.
Key Result Areas
- Responsible for store opening/closing procedures (cash management, merchandising, scheduling staff and volunteers, and sales.
- Responsible for daily functions of running the Thrift Store (pricing, sorting donations, managing expenses and instant decision making as situations occur.
- Responsible for organizing donation pick-ups with outside vendor.
- Responsible for small furniture pick-ups from donors. Ability to drive company truck.
- Organizing weekly promotions and sales.
- Positive, courteous and customer-oriented.
- Training volunteers and staff.
Participates as an active supporter of the Treasure Coast Hospice’s compliance program, including the emphasis to report, as well as complying with all Federal, State and Local laws as well as the organization’s compliance program.
- Fulfill all responsibilities related to the success of the strategic plan of the organization, as requested and assigned.

Position will be categorized as category III (involves no routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids/tissues).

Additional Information
Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites. The person in the position will work in a smoke-free location, and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions.
