Process Scientist I in Rancho Cordova, California at AMPAC Fine Chemicals

JOB SUMMARY

The Process Scientist is responsible for plant production support and the process development of pharmaceutical ingredients. Work is closely supervised.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform guided experiments in a timely manner.
• Assist technical team in production support.
• Contribute experimental writeups for weekly reports.
• Effectively participates in Process Research and Development meetings.
• Works under the supervision of Sr. Scientists to advance research and development projects.
• Thinks critically and creatively and is able to work independently and also in interdisciplinary groups.
• Must be able to work efficiently both individually and as a team, by sharing ideas, and adapting to change.
• Ability to solve problems and has strong organizational and planning skills.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Typically requires 0-1 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• PhD (preferred), Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry
• 0 - 2 years of industry experience
