Accounts Payable Specialist in Grand Junction, Colorado at Mesa Systems

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to support our accounting department with daily operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing full cycle Accounts Payable duties, reconciling P-card statements, processing paperwork, and performing general accounting duties as needed. This role requires a commitment to detail and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable (AP):
o Accurately enter payable invoices into the accounting system.
o Assist AP Supervisor with ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor payments.
o Maintain vendor records and assist with AP-related inquiries.
o Perform vendor account reconciliations.
o Prepare and process weekly physical check runs, ACH batches, wires, etc.
• P-card Reconciliation:
o Reconcile P-card (purchase card) statements to ensure proper documentation and coding of expenses.
o Follow up on any discrepancies or missing receipts with cardholders.
• General Accounting Duties:
o Provide administrative support to the accounting department.

Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, focusing on AP and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Great Plains Accounting Software.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
