JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
Brief Summary: The Sales Coordinator at Afton Acoustics serves as the vital strategic hub connecting our Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance teams. You will drive the project lifecycle by managing quotes, fulfilling sample requests, and optimizing pricing and margins as well as processing orders across diverse business channels. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in construction documentation, estimating, or project management who thrives in a collaborative, manufacturing-focused environment.

ACTIVITES/TASKS
Technical Sales Support
• Generate Quotes: Responsible for timely gathering of appropriate costing from
engineers, preparing quote package and client submission.
• Interpret Project Documents: Ability to read and interpret construction
documents to include drawings and technical specifications.

Cross-Functional Coordination
• Bridge Key Teams: Act as the central communication hub between Sales,
Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing and Finance.
• Manage Stakeholders: Interface with and service key industry stakeholders,
including Architects, End Users, Contractors, Distributors, OEM Partners,
Dealers, and Independent Sales Reps.
• Fulfill Sample Requests: Coordinate the logistics and fulfillment of product
sample requests for prospects and clients.

Sales Operations & Administration
• Analyze Financials: Assist leadership in managing and optimizing pricing
structures and profit margins across various sales channels.
• Data Management: Maintain up-to-date project records within our corporate
CRM and ERP ecosystems.
• General Administration: Execute daily sales administration tasks to ensure
smooth, project-based workflows.

Order Processing
• Receive all documented and approved purchase orders and return
authorizations from the sales department.
• Process purchase orders and monitor to completion.
• Maintain complete and accurate order files for salesperson reference.
• Continuously improve and document processes to maximize accuracy and
efficiency.
• Assist with notifying the sales department of any inconsistencies or
inaccuracies encountered in the item descriptions or costs.
• Maintain positive client relationships.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with regular use of
a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, phone,
copier, scanner, and other office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through written
communication.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, or move throughout the office
as needed.
• Ability to read documents, reports, computer screens, and other written
materials.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull office materials and supplies up to
25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work environment is generally quiet to moderate in noise level.

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES DESIRED
• Associate degree or technical certification(s) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the general construction industry and a
strong preference for interior building products and a manufacturing
environment.
• Proven ability to read, interpret, and extract data from architectural and
construction documents.
• Experience working within a structured, project-based workflow.
• Prior hands-on experience using CRM and ERP software platforms.
• Exposure to AutoCAD, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred but not required.
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Continuous Improvement / Lean Business processes experience, and
support/leadership of company CI
• Maintain positive attitude and be open to accept new ideas and change
• Adhere to company philosophy and values
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background
check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
