Job Summary

Mansuetto is hiring a Safety Manager to lead safety for our roofing, masonry restoration, glazing, service and sheet metal operations. You'll be the go-to safety leader on our jobsites and in the office, building a proactive, people-first safety culture alongside field leadership, operations, HR and executive management.

This is a hands-on, highly visible role. You'll spend much of your week on the road visiting crews, so you'll need to be comfortable being both a coach and the person who stops unsafe work when it matters.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and improve company safety programs, policies and procedures in line with OSHA, state regulations and industry best practices
  • Conduct routine and unannounced jobsite inspections and audits, and make sure unsafe conditions are corrected quickly
  • Partner with operations on pre-job planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and site-specific safety plans
  • Lead new-hire safety orientation and coordinate training: OSHA, fall protection, silica, scaffold, aerial lift, forklift and CPR/First Aid/AED
  • Track employee certifications and keep county and state permits and renewals current (propane storage, fire inspections, asbestos)
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for injuries, near misses, vehicle incidents and property damage, and drive corrective actions
  • Manage workers' compensation with HR, carriers, TPAs and MCOs, and analyze injury trends, EMR and risk exposure
  • Maintain contractor prequalification and client safety requirements in ISNetworld, Avetta and Highwire
  • Support acquisition integration, safety standardization, and emergency response and crisis planning
  • Cover other company locations when their Safety Managers are on vacation or leave
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience, with strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926)
  • Experience leading incident investigations and managing workers' compensation claims
  • Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills, with the ability to influence both field crews and office staff
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and jobsites; proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial roofing, masonry restoration, glazing, sheet metal or specialty contracting experience
  • CSP, CHST or STSC; OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer and OSHA 30-Hour Construction
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor; Forklift and Aerial Lift Trainer
  • Competent Person training: fall protection, scaffolding, excavation/trenching, confined space and silica
  • Respiratory protection, NFPA 70E awareness and DOT compliance knowledge
Travel and Physical Requirements
  • Travel: up to 65% regional travel, mostly within a 2-3-hour radius of Martins Ferry, in a company-provided vehicle. Expect up to 4-6 hours of driving on field days.
  • Overnight travel: up to 10% beyond a 3-hour radius, including covering other company locations during extended vacations or leaves.
  • Office work: mostly seated, with minimal physical demands.
  • Field work: physically demanding and a critical part of the job. It includes climbing ladders, walking flat and pitched roofs up to 9/12, working at heights, lifting and carrying equipment, wearing PPE, and exposure to noise, weather and temperature extremes.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year, based on experience and certifications
  • Medical insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • 401(k)
