Odyssey House is seeking a full-time Intake Coordinator to join our Admissions team!

Location: Salt Lake City

Compensation: $19.00/hourly

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 10 am - 6 pm with some flexibility for evenings

Benefits Package: Equals to approximately $22,000

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Intake Specialist. The ideal candidate will conduct client screenings, coordinate referrals, and create client files. In addition, the Intake Specialist will complete QA activities, maintain admission paperwork in compliance with agency needs, and guide new admits and family members through the admission process.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client screenings and provide general program information
  • Add all collateral contacts and create release information according to agency policy
  • Assist with the coordination of referral if the client is not appropriate for care
  • Create client files for new admits
  • Complete QA activities to ensure client files and admission paperwork are completed accurately and consistently
  • Communicate and complete training with coworkers on QA issues that arise
  • Maintain admission paperwork to comply with program and agency needs
  • Identify and solve barriers to treatment for potential clients
  • Coordinate admission of clients with the Admissions Therapist
  • Collection of collateral records
  • Participate in the Admissions Department meetings
  • Enter client funding and ensure accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Must-Have Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving history (this position requires candidates to drive Odyssey House vehicles. Odyssey House will verify driver eligibility by reviewing annual Motor Vehicle Registrations. If offered the position, you authorize Odyssey House to review your Motor Vehicle Registration records to determine eligibility to drive for Odyssey House)
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare or social services, preferably in admissions or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to agency policies and procedures

Physical Demands of the Job: Ability to lift up to 15 lbs., drive (or adequate alternate transportation), sit for prolonged periods, and perform light to moderate physical activity at times.
