We are seeking a creative and technically skilled designer to shape rewarding player experiences within an evolving gaming environment. In this role, you will develop engaging progression systems, compelling reward opportunities, and meaningful customization options that enhance player motivation. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create sustainable rewards and commerce experiences that complement gameplay and encourage long-term engagement. Combining systems design, scripting, and gameplay tuning, you will help transform creative concepts into polished, player-focused features. You will also improve existing systems, balancing player satisfaction with thoughtful progression and in-game economies. This is an opportunity to influence how players experience rewards, express their identities, and connect with a live gaming world.

Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to design and deliver a broad range of progression, pursuit, and reward-based systems and content that complement the game's activities.

  • Design and implement sustainable reward experiences that motivate players, encourage engagement, and create memorable gameplay moments.

  • Develop creative enhancements and improvements to existing rewards, customization, and commerce systems.

  • Perform advanced scripting and use game development tools to implement, refine, and support gameplay systems.

  • Tune gameplay values and progression curves to create satisfying advancement, balanced rewards, and compelling player experiences.

  • Develop systems that allow players to express their individuality through meaningful customization options.

  • Take ownership of features from concept through implementation, collaborating with teammates and incorporating feedback throughout development.

  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of reward and commerce experiences to support player engagement over time.

Requirements
  • Professional experience in game design, with a strong understanding of game systems and player experience.

  • Experience working with game development software, design tools, and production workflows.

  • Demonstrated experience designing or developing reward systems, player customization features, and microtransaction (MTX) systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.

  • Experience owning design features or leading small teams, demonstrating accountability and sound decision-making.

  • Ability to work effectively within a large, collaborative development team, receive feedback constructively, and adapt to direction.

  • A creative, player-focused approach to designing progression systems and rewards that feel engaging rather than repetitive.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Technical scripting experience using text-based languages such as Lua, Python, or similar tools to manage and implement game systems.

  • Experience contributing to multiple shipped games for console or PC platforms.

  • Previous experience working on live-service games or delivering ongoing content updates.

Benefits
  • Base salary: Estimated annual base pay range of $124,000–$149,000 USD.

  • Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Retirement savings: Matching 401(k) contributions.

  • Paid time off: Paid leave, with details subject to the applicable employment policy.

  • Wellness: Access to a wellness program.

  • Employee discounts: Discounts on eligible products from the company's broader consumer electronics and gaming ecosystem.

  • Potential bonus: The role may be eligible for a bonus package.

  • Work location: Remote within the United States, subject to applicable location and working policies. Relocation within 45 days of the start date may be required for candidates outside approved locations.

  • Compensation considerations: Final base pay may vary according to geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position's benefits and compensation are subject to the applicable employment policies.
