The Tipton Group is hiring a Porter/Make Ready to join our apartment maintenance team. In this role, you’ll help prepare apartment homes for new residents while assisting with the overall upkeep and appearance of the community.

What You'll Do

As a Porter/Make Ready, you'll work alongside our maintenance team to keep apartments and the community looking their best.

Your responsibilities will include:

Complete apartment turnovers and make-readies for new residentsPerform painting, touch-ups, and general repairsAssist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and preventative maintenanceInspect vacant units and help ensure apartments are move-in readyAssist with grounds upkeep, including trash pickup and light landscapingHelp maintain the overall appearance of the propertyRespond to maintenance needs as part of the property's on-call rotationWork closely with the maintenance and property management teams to provide excellent service to residents

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work, and enjoys being part of a team.

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of make-ready, groundskeeping, apartment maintenance, or similar experienceBasic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systemsAbility to perform basic repairs and maintenanceAbility to provide and use your own basic toolsProfessional and courteous when interacting with residents, visitors, and coworkersAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh school diploma or GED
