The Director of Talent Acquisition plays a critical leadership role in ensuring Soar can achieve its growth goals by building and executing a best-in-class strategy for attracting, hiring, and retaining Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
This role is accountable for all aspects of RBT hiring performance across the organization, including recruitment strategy, talent acquisition operations, hiring process optimization, reporting and analytics, and team leadership. The Director partners closely with Clinical Operations, Regional Leadership, and the People Team to ensure hiring targets are achieved while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
This role reports directly to the Chief People Officer and manages a growing team of Talent Acquisition team members (currently 9 direct reports).
Candidate can work remotely, but will need to travel 1-2 times per month to support direct reports in the Denver, Phoenix, Philadelphia, and DC Metro Areas.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy & Leadership
- Own and lead the end-to-end RBT talent acquisition strategy across all assigned markets and regions.
- Maintain full accountability for achieving RBT hiring goals, including applicant volume, interview conversion rates, offer acceptance rates, time-to-fill, and overall hiring target attainment.
- Partner with operational and clinical leaders to forecast workforce needs and develop proactive hiring plans that support organizational growth.
- Build and continuously optimize scalable recruiting processes, systems, and workflows that improve efficiency and hiring outcomes.
- Work with external vendors and partners to optimize inbound RBT candidate pipeline
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists, establishing clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability.
- Foster a high-performance, data-driven recruiting culture focused on operational excellence and exceptional candidate experience.
- Collaborate with the VP of Workforce Planning and executive leadership to establish hiring targets, workforce plans, and recruiting priorities.
- Contribute to broader People Team initiatives and organizational projects as needed.
Recruitment Operations & Candidate Experience
- Oversee all aspects of the RBT recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening through offer acceptance and onboarding transition.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality candidate assessment practices that align with Soars mission, values, and talent standards.
- Monitor recruiting funnel performance and implement strategies to improve conversion rates at every stage of the hiring process.
- Identify and remove barriers impacting hiring performance, candidate experience, and recruiter productivity.
- Ensure candidates experience a welcoming, responsive, and engaging hiring process that reflects Soars culture and values.
Data, Analytics & Reporting
- Own all RBT recruiting metrics, reporting, dashboards, and hiring analytics.
- Develop and maintain executive-level reporting that provides visibility into hiring performance, pipeline health, sourcing effectiveness, recruiter productivity, and forecasting accuracy.
- Analyze recruitment data to identify opportunities, risks, bottlenecks, and process improvements, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including:
- Interview scheduling efficiency
- Candidate conversion rates
- Offer acceptance rates
- Recruiter productivity
- Hiring goal attainment
- Cost-per-hire
- Present hiring performance, trends, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership on a regular basis.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, including leadership experience in high-volume recruiting environments.
- Direct experience recruiting for high-volume, front-line workforce roles.
- Proven success managing recruiting teams and achieving aggressive hiring targets.
- Strong experience conducting interviews and assessing candidate fit.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to drive recruiting decisions and improve hiring outcomes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data analysis, dashboard creation, reporting, forecasting, and data visualization.
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment analytics tools.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills regarding candidate assessment and hiring recommendations.
- Experience leading recruiting operations in a healthcare, behavioral health, multi-site, or high-growth organization.
- Experience building recruiting dashboards, workforce planning models, and executive-level reporting.
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives and scaling recruiting functions.
