Description:
GST Compliance
- Responsible for Overall GST Compliance (PAN India) Including
- Monitoring compliances for PAN India states (Tracking through Legasis system)
- Identification of Risks and prepare mitigation plan
- Completion of Annual Audit (GSTR-9) and filing well before due dates.
- Set up and monitoring system for Vendor ITC reconciliation / Plan for Automation.
- Defining and supervising accounting of GST transactions,
- Prepare contingent liability schedule and responsible for all relevant GLs in TB
- Caveat discussion based on review by consultant and plan for implementation.
- Study ongoing litigations in detail and safeguard company’s Interest
- Co-ordinate departmental audit (assessment) for PAN India states and ensure company's interest is safeguarded
Audit and Control Activities :
- Defining and implementing Internal controls for GST management,
- Interaction with Internal and Statutory auditors for matters relating to GST / Insurance / Intercompany and resolution of audit observations and requirements.
- Oversight on plant operations relating to GST.
Litigation management and Representations :
- Represent the company before Government departments for litigations in GST.
- Liaison with GST Departments and officials and also with consultants / Lawyers
Business Support
- Arrange knowledge sharing session on various subject related to Insurance, latest updates etc.
- Providing support for structuring of various business transactions for GST / Insurance.
- Advising the Management on changes/ developments in Indirect Tax laws and procedures.
- Leading a Central team for GST accounting and compliances.
Optimization of GST Cash flow :
- Monitoring cash out from MH & Others states, exploring options to en-cash GST accumulated credit in MH state through refunds / Change in pricing in billing from plants to C&F depots etc.
Insurance Management – Track Insurance renewal well in advance, Renewal of coverage within time and ensure cost optimization in co-ordination with IPC, present final negotiation numbers with management for review and approvals, claim settlement process to improve and monitor. Review of contracts and ensure compliance and coverage of risks from insurance point of view. Insurance CD balance reconciliation with financials. Keep the track on latest updates in Insurance, arrange knowledge sharing sessions.
Export Commercial
Maintenance of accounting records and follow up for duty drawback, RoDTEP, Advance authorisation, EPCG license, etc. Compliance of RBI provisions for E-BRC & EDPMS closure. Export Incentive tracking, Shipment monitoring
IT Developments / Automations:
Study Business / compliance process and initiate Automation, Support S4 HANA related activities.
Profile Requirement:
Formal education: B. Com. MBA/ Post Graduation
Experience: 15 Years’ extensive experience in Indirect Taxation, Audits / Assessments.
Skills:
- Sound knowledge of GST/ indirect taxes, Export Commercial laws & procedures
- Adept in Insurance management
- Communication & Team handling skills
- Experience of working in SAP environment
- Exposure to dealing with Govt. agencies, Tax authorities, consultants
