About the Role:

As a Banquet Server at Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, you are part of a team with a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during events and functions. Your primary objective is to ensure that guests receive attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout banquets, weddings, conferences, and other special occasions. You will collaborate closely with the banquet team to set up dining areas, serve food and beverages, and promptly address guest needs to maintain high satisfaction levels. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality, preferably in banquet or event settings.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Food handling in hospitality service.
• Experience working in a high-volume banquet or catering environment.
• Familiarity with banquet service and workflows.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and based on operation needs.
• Multilingual abilities to assist diverse guest populations.
• Communicates and asks questions.
• Follows instructions to complete event detailing and setups.

Responsibilities:

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and place settings.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are accommodated.
• Assist in clearing tables and resetting them between courses or events while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Collaborate with kitchen and event staff to coordinate service flow and address any guest requests or concerns promptly.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation standards.
• Must have food and alcohol certifications at the time of employment.
