Sr. Tech Lead (Laravel/React) in India at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Tech Lead (Laravel/React) based in India.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining engineering leadership with active full-stack development across modern web applications. You will guide technical direction while contributing directly to scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions built with Laravel, PHP, and React.js. The role offers significant ownership across architecture, cloud infrastructure, development practices, and engineering standards. You will work closely with developers to strengthen code quality, delivery practices, and technical decision-making. A strong focus on AWS and cloud-native architecture makes this an opportunity to shape reliable and scalable systems. You will also mentor engineers and help build a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Lead the engineering team while remaining hands-on with the design, development, and delivery of web applications using Laravel, PHP, and React.js.
• Define and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable system architectures, ensuring solutions can support business and product growth.
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure while promoting cloud-native engineering practices and operational reliability.
• Establish and maintain strong development standards around code quality, architecture, testing, security, and technical documentation.
• Guide the implementation and maintenance of RESTful APIs, system integrations, and distributed application components.
• Drive CI/CD practices and automated delivery processes to improve development efficiency, reliability, and release quality.
• Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, architectural decisions, and problem-solving while fostering strong engineering practices.

• Bring 10+ years of professional experience in software development and system architecture, with substantial experience operating at a senior technical or leadership level.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on coding expertise with PHP and React.js, along with solid experience developing and maintaining production web applications.
• Have strong practical experience with AWS, including infrastructure design, deployment, configuration, and ongoing management.
• Possess a deep understanding of scalable application architecture, RESTful APIs, system integration, and distributed systems.
• Have strong knowledge of application security principles, including OWASP practices, IAM, secure coding, authentication, authorization, and common web security risks.
• Have experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated testing practices, and reliable software delivery workflows.
• Be comfortable working with Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable containerization technologies, as well as Git and modern version control workflows.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, technical decision-making, leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance hands-on execution and broader technical direction.
