Coordinator- Heart Center in Steubenville, Ohio at Trinity Health System

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE

Responsible for maintaining and coordinating a safe, efficient, and professional work environment for the TMW Heart Center patients, physicians and staff.

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervisory duties of the EKG department, including staff schedules.
• Interact with staff/patients/guests in a polite/responsive manner to ensure quality care.
• Make recommendations/suggestions to professional staff to optimize quality.
• Maintain adequate stock items providing uninterrupted patient care.
• Report directly to the Cardiac Imaging Manager and Cath Lab Manager.
• Facilitate placement of maintenance, IT and equipment work orders.
• Creation of daily cath lab placemat worksheets and upkeep of changes throughout the day.
• Reconciliation of McKesson EKG/Stress testing exams.
• Collection, correction, charging and retroactive authorizations for cath lab procedures.
• Ensure orders are correct, available and current.
• Reminder calls as needed.

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associates in applied science or related field is preferred
• Experience in cardiology, scheduling, and staff scheduling is preferred
