Job Description

DSP Strategist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DSP Strategist based in Brazil.

As a DSP Strategist, you will take ownership of campaign strategy, execution, optimization, reporting, and performance across a portfolio of retail media accounts. You will combine programmatic advertising expertise with data-driven analysis to help e-commerce brands grow their media investment and achieve measurable business outcomes. The role offers broad exposure to retail media, client strategy, audience development, campaign management, and emerging advertising technologies. You will work closely with Customer Strategy Managers, clients, product teams, and other specialists in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. Your ability to turn complex performance data into clear insights and compelling recommendations will directly influence client decisions and account growth. You will also contribute feedback from your client portfolio to help shape the evolution of the DSP platform and internal best practices. This is an opportunity for a strategic, analytical, and client-oriented professional to make a meaningful impact in the rapidly evolving retail media landscape.

Accountabilities:
  • Act as the primary strategist for a portfolio of assigned DSP accounts, monitoring performance and partnering closely with Customer Strategy Managers to drive client success.
  • Develop comprehensive media strategies that account for seasonality, promotional periods, major shopping events, and different stages of the customer purchase journey.
  • Identify new audience opportunities and design campaign strategies that support client growth and increase the effectiveness of media investment.
  • Own the complete campaign lifecycle, from initial strategy discussions and campaign planning through audience targeting, campaign structure, creative alignment, launch, optimization, and reporting.
  • Monitor campaign performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scale, and business outcomes.
  • Execute strategic campaign adjustments based on performance insights and client requirements, clearly communicating expected outcomes and trade-offs.
  • Manage monthly spend pacing and support account MRR retention, maintaining consistent performance against key commercial and operational indicators.
  • Participate in weekly or bi-weekly client meetings, contributing to performance reviews, answering ad hoc questions, and ensuring timely follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Support client retention by confidently explaining strategy, educating stakeholders on methodology, addressing concerns, and maintaining engagement on account performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's business objectives and use that knowledge to formulate effective account strategies.
  • Diagnose performance challenges independently and translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Build compelling data-driven narratives that connect campaign performance, strategic recommendations, and broader business growth opportunities.
  • Capture product, platform, and user-experience feedback from client interactions and communicate relevant insights to internal product and leadership teams.
  • Stay current with retail media, programmatic advertising, DSP capabilities, industry trends, and platform updates.
  • Participate in internal platform training and collaborate with product leadership to identify opportunities to leverage new capabilities.
  • Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, and helping establish scalable processes and best practices for DSP strategy and execution.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in digital marketing, retail media, e-commerce advertising, or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing Amazon DSP campaigns, with broader programmatic or display advertising experience such as DV360, Meta, or Google Ads considered an advantage.
  • 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role, ideally managing campaigns or accounts for small and medium-sized brands.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign performance data, identify trends, diagnose issues, and turn insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience working with BI, data analytics, reporting, or performance measurement is a strong differentiator.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex advertising and performance concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising, audience targeting, campaign optimization, performance measurement, and media strategy.
  • Experience developing media plans that account for seasonality, promotional events, audience segments, and different stages of the customer journey.
  • Ability to create clear, persuasive reports and present performance insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience using Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) for audience development, measurement, or analytics is highly desirable.
  • Certifications in Amazon DSP, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Meta, DV360, Google Ads, or Google Analytics are advantageous.
  • Experience advising clients on display or programmatic strategy and performance is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to build compelling narratives and support business decision-making.
  • Strong client-management skills, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations, manage expectations, and confidently defend strategic recommendations.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to continuously learn, experiment, and adapt within a rapidly evolving advertising industry.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment is beneficial.
  • Background in e-commerce or product-focused advertising is a plus.
  • Highly organized, proactive, flexible, and comfortable managing multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively across customer strategy, product, and other internal teams.
Benefits
  • PJ contractor position based in Brazil.
  • Fully remote work within Brazil.
  • Opportunity to work in the rapidly growing retail media and programmatic advertising industry.
  • Hands-on ownership of a portfolio of DSP accounts and direct influence on client media investment and business growth.
  • Exposure to Amazon DSP, Amazon Marketing Cloud, and broader programmatic advertising technologies.
  • Opportunity to develop expertise across campaign strategy, audience development, performance optimization, analytics, and client consulting.
  • Close collaboration with experienced Customer Strategy, Product, and leadership teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to product development by bringing real-world client insights and feedback to internal teams.
  • Opportunities to mentor teammates and influence internal processes, strategy frameworks, and best practices.
  • Inclusive and collaborative working environment that values diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
  • Broad exposure to different aspects of the business, supporting continuous professional and skill development.
