This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Revenue Accounting based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to play a hands-on part in revenue accounting and gross-to-net operations during an important commercial launch phase. You will help establish and continuously improve processes that support accurate revenue recognition, forecasting, reporting, and financial controls. The position combines technical accounting expertise with data-driven analysis and close collaboration across Finance, Commercial, Market Access, Analytics, Supply Chain, and external partners. You will contribute to monthly and quarterly close activities while helping strengthen forecasting models, documentation, and internal controls. The role also provides an opportunity to leverage approved AI tools and automation to make accounting processes more efficient and scalable. This is an ideal environment for an analytical, proactive accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, launch-stage organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly product revenue and gross-to-net close activities, including reserves for prompt-pay discounts, copay and patient assistance programs, returns, Medicaid, Medicare Part D, 340B, VA/DoD, distributor fees, and other forms of variable consideration.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, reserve rollforwards, close schedules, and supporting documentation for revenue and gross-to-net accounts.
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Commercial, Market Access, and Analytics & Insights teams to support accurate and timely revenue reporting and forecast-to-actual analysis.
  • Support revenue-related financial reporting, audit requests, quarterly reviews, and SEC reporting schedules, as applicable.
  • Develop clear analyses that help Finance and business stakeholders understand changes in gross-to-net rates, payer dynamics, channel activity, contract performance, and reserve balances.
  • Manage day-to-day coordination with external government pricing consultants, including data submissions, review of government pricing calculations and outputs, invoice review and payment processing, and supporting documentation.
  • Support SOX compliance, internal and external audits, and quarterly review procedures by preparing high-quality documentation, control evidence, and audit support.
  • Maintain and improve gross-to-net forecasting models and methodologies for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with Commercial and Market Access teams to develop and maintain assumptions related to payer mix, channel mix, pricing, contracting, patient affordability programs, government programs, and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with Analytics & Insights to incorporate demand, patient, payer, and market data into gross-to-net forecasts and forecast-to-actual analyses.
  • Identify opportunities to use approved AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline revenue accounting, reconciliations, forecasting, reporting, documentation, and month-end close activities while maintaining compliance with policies and internal controls.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or related experience, including experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.
  • Hands-on experience with gross-to-net accruals and reserves, including rebates, chargebacks, discounts, returns, copay and patient assistance programs, distributor fees, and government program items.
  • Experience supporting monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, reserve rollforwards, audit support, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition, U.S. GAAP, and variable consideration concepts.
  • Experience working with accounting processes and internal controls in a SOX-compliant environment.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, documentation, and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning, with an interest in using approved AI tools, automation, and analytics to improve accounting and finance processes.
  • Positive, approachable, and professional communication style, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • CPA, MBA, or an advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a first product launch, commercial launch readiness, or an early-stage commercial pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization is a plus.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools, automation, dashboards, or advanced analytics to improve close processes, reconciliations, forecasting, reporting, documentation, or controls is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Base salary range of $129,000–$160,000 USD, with actual compensation adjusted based on location, skills, experience, education, and market factors.
  • Competitive overall rewards package that includes cash compensation and equity opportunities.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits designed to support health, well-being, and financial security.
  • Opportunities for significant learning, professional development, and career growth.
  • Exposure to commercial launch activities and the opportunity to help build scalable revenue accounting processes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Commercial, Market Access, Analytics, Supply Chain, and other business teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the responsible adoption of AI, automation, and analytics within accounting and finance.
  • Remote opportunity for candidates based in the United States, subject to applicable location and role requirements.
  • Inclusive, collaborative environment with opportunities to make a meaningful impact during an important stage of organizational growth.
