Job Description
About the Company
The Living Company (TLC) is a fully integrated interior solutions platform serving top developers, owners, operators, and general contractors in student housing, multifamily, and hospitality. We provide end-to-end services for furniture (FF&E), cabinetry, countertops, and shower systems, with capabilities spanning design, manufacturing, project management, and installation. With more than 1 million bedrooms and 250,000 kitchens delivered, and backed by a global supply chain and an in-house quality control team of more than 200 professionals, TLC supports projects from concept through completion. We operate from offices in Dallas, Chicago, Memphis, and Ho Chi Minh City.
TLC Corporate Finance supports all four operating divisions (University Furnishings, TLC Hospitality, Blake Solutions, and TLC Studio) from our Dallas headquarters. The team owns accounting, financial planning and analysis, and business partnering across a multi-entity, project-based business, giving leaders the timely, accurate information they need to price work, manage margin and cash, and grow.
Role Overview
The Staff Accountant is a hands-on accounting role supporting an assigned TLC operating company, working under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor. The role completes assigned parts of an accurate, on-time monthly close and prepares the reconciliations, entries, and supporting schedules that leadership relies on.
This position works closely with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff, researching and resolving discrepancies and following documented procedures so the work is consistent, auditable, and resilient to turnover.
The Staff Accountant also supports internal controls and prepares schedules and support for internal and external auditors. Because much of TLC's work is project-based, the role provides direct exposure to WIP and revenue recognition under ASC 606, with guidance and training from senior team members.
This is a strong opportunity for an early-career accountant to build technical skills in a multi-entity, project-based business, with a clear path to grow into a Senior Accountant role.
