Now Hiring: Part-Time Banquet Setup

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Banquets Captain and Banquets Manager, the Banquet Setup team member is responsible for ensuring function rooms, conference spaces, and related areas are clean, organized, properly equipped, and professionally set for weddings, meetings, conferences, and special events.

This is an important behind-the-scenes role that helps ensure every event runs smoothly and every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities

Read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and accurately complete event setupsPrepare function rooms and conference areas according to event specificationsMaintain function rooms, conference areas, and storage spaces in a clean and organized conditionReturn equipment to its proper storage location in clean and ready-to-use conditionService and refresh meeting rooms during event breaksCheck room temperatures and ensure lighting is functioning properly and appropriately adjustedAssist the Banquet team as needed, including food running, bussing, and buffet breakdownAssist with inventories of banquet equipment and suppliesIdentify and eliminate potential safety hazardsReport broken or damaged equipment through Engineering’s Work Order ProgramSupport the Banquets team in maintaining the high standards of Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED preferredThree to six months of related experience and/or training preferredEquivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Communication Skills

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memosAbility to communicate effectively with guests and team membersAbility to read and recognize basic words, numbers, and written instructions

Technology Skills

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Additional Information

This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesMust be dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and assist with the physical demands of event setup and breakdown
