Job Description
The HR Generalist supports daily HR operations, with responsibility for compliance, reporting, recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and time and attendance administration. This role maintains accurate and confidential employee records; supports compliance with applicable employment laws and Company policies; coordinates staffing and onboarding activities; and helps ensure accurate payroll and timekeeping practices.
Compliance and ReportingSupports compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and Company policies.
Prepares and maintains required HR, payroll, regulatory, and audit-related reports and documentation.
Maintains confidential personnel records in accordance with legal and Company record-retention requirements.
Communicates HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to managers and employees.
Supports documentation and information requests related to audits, agency inquiries, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and other compliance matters.
Coordinates recruitment activities, including posting jobs, scheduling and conducting interviews, maintaining applicant records, and preparing job offers.
Supports staffing needs by partnering with managers on recruiting priorities and candidate selection.
Coordinates new-hire onboarding, including pre-employment documentation, orientation, employee file setup, and system access requests.
Assists with employee training coordination and maintenance of required training records.
Supports accurate and timely payroll processing by reviewing timecards, attendance records, payroll changes, leave records, and payroll reports.
Reviews timekeeping exceptions, including missing punches, unapproved time, overtime, and meal or rest break exceptions, and coordinates corrections with employees and managers.
Maintains payroll-impacting employee information, including pay rates, job changes, transfers, deductions, and leave status.
Tracks vacation, sick leave, and leave-of-absence records; maintains leave calendars; and provides approved leave information to Payroll.
Generates time and attendance reports, assists with payroll reconciliations, and responds to routine payroll and timekeeping questions.
Provides guidance to employees and managers on the Company’s timekeeping system, scheduling procedures, and payroll deadlines.
Monday - Thursday 8:00a - 5:00p
Friday 8:00a - 4:00p
Some weekends as needed for recruitment.
