Pine Environmental Services is seeking an experienced, results-driven Branch Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a Pine facility. This role is responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience, maintaining exceptional equipment quality, driving rental and sales revenue, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and professional work environment.
The Branch Manager will provide hands-on leadership to the branch team while overseeing operational processes, employee development, equipment utilization, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and profitability. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who is customer-focused, operationally minded, and motivated to build a high-performing team.
Primary ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop branch employees to ensure all functions are performed safely, competently, and efficiently.
- Establish clear performance expectations and regularly evaluate employee performance and results.
- Coach and empower team members to make sound business decisions and take ownership of their responsibilities.
- Hold employees accountable for performance, customer service, safety, and operational standards.
- Foster a positive, professional, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
- Model professional behavior and effective leadership at all times.
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch to ensure efficient workflow and consistent execution of company procedures.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture through education, proper housekeeping, organization, and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Ensure all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are consistently followed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, efficient, and organized branch environment.
- Serve as the primary after-hours contact for the location, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company policies and federal, state/provincial, and local requirements.
- Support other Pine locations with equipment, resources, or services when needed.
- Ensure all equipment meets Pine's established quality and operational standards.
- Confirm customers receive equipment that is clean, properly calibrated, and in good working condition.
- Oversee operational workflows from initial customer order through delivery, return, and invoicing.
- Maximize equipment utilization while maintaining appropriate inventory availability and quality standards.
- Identify and address equipment or operational issues that may impact service delivery.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience at every key touchpoint.
- Promote a customer-first culture and ensure the branch consistently delivers high-quality products and exemplary service.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and lead proactive efforts to strengthen customer relationships.
- Quickly investigate and resolve discrepancies or service issues that may negatively impact the customer experience.
- Partner effectively with Sales, Operations, and other departments to achieve shared business objectives.
- Drive branch performance to achieve or exceed established rental and sales revenue goals.
- Monitor branch performance, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Follow up on new and expanded business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for additional revenue channels and increased equipment utilization.
- Develop and support strategies focused on customer retention and long-term account growth.
- Maintain awareness of local market conditions, customer needs, and potential business opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.

- Technical aptitude and willingness to develop knowledge of Pine's equipment and services.
- Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Environmental Science, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in operations management, environmental testing, equipment rental, customer-focused commercial operations, retail management, or a related field.
- Previous experience supervising, coaching, and developing employees strongly preferred.
- Experience within the environmental testing industry, environmental consulting, NDT/NDE, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience within the equipment rental industry is highly preferred.
- Previous responsibility for revenue, profitability, budgets, or P&L performance is a strong plus.
This is a safety-sensitive position operating within a fast-paced office and warehouse environment. The role may require field travel by vehicle or air for customer visits, meetings, training, and other business-related activities.
Physical Requirements / Essential FunctionsThis position is approximately 30% sedentary and 70% active. Essential functions may include:
- Walking and standing for extended periods.
- Bending, stretching, reaching, and climbing ladders.
- Working within both office and warehouse environments.
- Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
- Operating a Pine vehicle as required for business purposes.
- Traveling to customer locations, other Pine branches, meetings, and training events as needed.
