General Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing various duties to support the BSA Compliance function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures; communicating with appropriate management and staff personnel; providing periodic reports.
Essential Duties:
Performs various duties to support the BSA and AML Compliance function as follows:
Assists in originating, implementing, and maintaining the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance programs to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Maintains current knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and all related AML and OFAC regulations.
Assists in the compliance with 314(a) and 314(b) (USA PATRIOT Act) responsibilities.
Assists in monitoring of account activity for suspicious patterns of activity, conducting suspicious activity report investigations, and completing high-risk customer/account reviews.
Researches, conducts investigations and resolves alerts generated by the bank’s BSA/AML detection tools. Performs customer and transaction analytics to identify trends and possible suspicious activity.
Assists in tracking and resolution of outstanding exceptions generated by BSA/AML tools and processes.
Assists in preparation and submission of all Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) within required timeframes.
Provides operational support for the BSA Department.
Ensures efficient and effective completion of all BSA documentation.
Assists in the coordination and support of BSA compliance audits and examinations.
Acts as a liaison between the branches and the BSA Department to resolve issues or problems concerning BSA policies and. Provides guidance to branch staff regarding BSA compliance.
Assists the BSA Officer, as directed.

Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Education/Training: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' general banking experience with an emphasis in compliance, audit and/or operations preferred.
Skill(s): Must demonstrate strong communication skills; proficient interpersonal relations skills; a working knowledge of bank regulatory policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-money Laundering (AML) policies and procedures; proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
