Job Summary:
We are looking for a fine dining host/hostess who is a master of first impressions and logistics. You will greet guests with sophisticated warmth, manage a complex reservation system with precision. Your goal is to maximize seating efficiency without compromising the calm, unhurried atmosphere that defines the fine dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hospitality: Providing a friendly and welcoming environment to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business.
- Professional Presentation: Maintain an impeccable personal appearance, including a spotless uniform and meticulous grooming, as our professionalism sets the tone for the entire atmosphere.
- Elite Reception: Providing a warm, professional greeting and a departing "thank you" to every guest with impeccable posture and grooming.
- Concierge-Level Care: Managing coat checks, coordinating with valet services, and escorting guests to facilities.
- VIP Identification: Tracking regulars and special occasions (anniversaries, birthdays) to ensure personalized service from the moment they arrive.
- Seating Excellence: Escorting guests to their tables, presenting menus, and introducing their designated server by name.
- Reservation Orchestration: Managing complex booking software (like OpenTable or seven rooms) and answering inquiries regarding availability, menu details, and dietary accommodations.
- Mise en Place: Ensuring all menus are pristine (no stains or fraying) and the host stand is stocked and organized.
- Floor Awareness: Constantly monitoring table status (open, dirty, or finishing) to coordinate with bussers and servers for rapid resets.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in a full service restaurant
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Must excel at clear, courteous communication with both guests and internal teams.
Base Pay:
$16.90+ Tips
