In this senior technical leadership position, you will design and optimize modern relational data architectures that support complex SaaS platforms and large-scale applications. Working closely with software architects, engineering teams, and DevOps specialists, you’ll drive best practices in database modeling, performance optimization, security, and scalability. This role offers the opportunity to modernize legacy systems, improve data reliability, and influence enterprise-wide database strategies across cloud-based environments. Ideal for a highly analytical and collaborative professional, the position combines hands-on technical expertise with mentorship and architectural leadership. You’ll contribute to mission-critical systems while helping engineering teams build secure, maintainable, and future-ready data solutions.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, implement, and optimize scalable relational database architectures across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
  • Define and enforce enterprise-wide standards for data modeling, schema governance, naming conventions, and referential integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with software architects and engineering teams to support system architecture and application design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain canonical data models, ER diagrams, data dictionaries, and database documentation.
  • Identify, analyze, and remediate technical debt within legacy database systems and schemas.
  • Optimize query performance, indexing strategies, and database access patterns to ensure high scalability and efficiency.
  • Implement secure multi-tenant database strategies and ensure proper enterprise data isolation practices.
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards, including encryption, RBAC, audit logging, and data protection requirements.
  • Support schema versioning, migration scripting, CI/CD database deployments, and monitoring best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and DevOps teams to support business and technical objectives.
  • Mentor developers and engineers on database design, performance tuning, and data architecture best practices.
Requirements:
  • 9+ years of experience in database engineering, architecture, or related technical roles.
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server and PostgreSQL with advanced knowledge of relational database design principles.
  • Extensive experience building scalable normalized data architectures for enterprise-grade systems.
  • Deep understanding of schema design, relational modeling, normalization techniques, and data governance methodologies.
  • Proven experience in query optimization, indexing strategies, and high-performance database tuning.
  • Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and enterprise customer data isolation strategies.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems, performing schema refactoring, and managing database migrations.
  • Strong understanding of schema versioning, migration scripting, and CI/CD-based deployment practices.
  • Knowledge of data security standards such as SOC 2, encryption frameworks, RBAC, and audit logging.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and cross-product data integration strategies.
  • Exposure to .NET ecosystem technologies such as Entity Framework or ADO.NET is considered a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Benefits:
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise systems and modern cloud-based architectures.
  • Collaborative and non-hierarchical work culture with global engineering exposure.
  • Career growth opportunities within a rapidly scaling digital engineering environment.
  • Exposure to modern technologies, SaaS platforms, and enterprise transformation projects.
  • Flexible and collaborative work environment supporting innovation and technical leadership.
  • Opportunity to mentor and influence engineering best practices across teams.
  • Access to diverse and challenging technical projects with international impact.
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and expertise.
