This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced healthcare operations professional passionate about transforming provider experiences and scaling innovative care delivery models. In this role, you will oversee the full provider lifecycle, building operational systems and workforce strategies that enable clinicians to deliver high-quality virtual care efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, product, engineering, recruiting, and finance teams to optimize provider engagement, performance, and operational scalability. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership in a fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare environment focused on improving chronic disease management and patient outcomes. Ideal candidates are analytical, people-focused leaders who thrive in high-growth settings and enjoy designing scalable systems that support both business success and exceptional care delivery. This role offers the opportunity to shape a critical operational function at the center of an innovative digital health organization

Accountabilities:
  • Own and optimize the full provider lifecycle across W2 and 1099 networks, including hiring, onboarding, engagement, performance management, retention, and offboarding.
  • Develop and execute provider workforce strategies aligned with business growth, operational demand, licensing requirements, and market expansion goals.
  • Build scalable provider operations systems, workflows, and infrastructure to support efficient and high-quality virtual care delivery.
  • Establish and monitor provider performance metrics related to quality of care, productivity, utilization, satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations and Quality teams to support provider coaching, feedback processes, and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Recruiting teams to strengthen provider hiring pipelines, improve time-to-fill metrics, and optimize workforce mix strategies across clinician types and employment models.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to improve provider-facing tools, reduce operational friction, and enhance overall provider experience.
  • Lead provider compensation, incentive structures, and payment operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze provider utilization, workforce economics, and operational efficiency to support sustainable and cost-effective growth.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve operational scalability, provider satisfaction, and long-term organizational performance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare operations, provider operations, workforce management, or related healthcare leadership functions.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing provider organizations, clinical operations, or large-scale healthcare teams.
  • Proven success building and scaling provider operations in fast-growing or high-growth healthcare environments.
  • Strong analytical, operational, and strategic thinking skills with experience managing provider capacity, utilization, productivity, and workforce economics.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Recruiting, Finance, and Clinical teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across diverse teams and organizational levels.
  • Strong understanding of provider engagement, operational workflows, and healthcare delivery models.
  • Experience developing scalable operational systems and process improvements within healthcare environments.
  • Familiarity with telehealth, digital health, virtual care, or value-based care models is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working directly with clinicians and managing both W2 and 1099 workforce structures is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, mission-driven, and highly collaborative startup or growth-stage environments.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package including salary and equity opportunities.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Flexible paid time off policies.
  • Remote and work-from-home flexibility.
  • Professional development budget and continuing education support.
  • Opportunity to shape and lead a critical operational function within a high-growth healthcare organization.
  • Collaborative and mission-driven work environment focused on improving healthcare accessibility and patient outcomes.
  • Exposure to innovative digital health technologies and AI-enabled care delivery models.
  • Career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization.
  • Internationally distributed and collaborative team culture with opportunities to contribute across global teams.
