  • Optimize platform capabilities, including product catalogs, subscriptions, pricing models, usage billing, payments, credits, taxation, and customer account structures.
  • Partner with technology teams to maintain integrations between billing systems and CRM, CPQ, order management, ERP, payment platforms, tax systems, and data platforms.
  • Lead billing transformation initiatives focused on automation, scalability, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Improve quote-to-cash and order-to-cash workflows by partnering with sales, legal, product, operations, finance, and customer teams.
  • Strengthen billing controls through reconciliations, approvals, audit trails, exception monitoring, and compliance processes.
  • Reduce revenue leakage by identifying and resolving billing errors, missed activations, incorrect pricing, incomplete amendments, and configuration issues.
  • Support customer experience improvements by enhancing invoice quality, dispute resolution processes, and billing communications.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing billing organization while establishing accountability, performance metrics, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Manage third-party vendors, consultants, and implementation partners when required.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a seasoned billing and enterprise systems leader with extensive experience managing complex revenue operations and transformation initiatives. They should combine strategic leadership, technical expertise, and strong stakeholder management capabilities. Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in billing, finance operations, order-to-cash, subscription management, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing billing teams in high-volume, complex environments.
  • Significant hands-on experience with enterprise billing platforms, including platform ownership, optimization, and governance.
  • Strong knowledge of recurring, usage-based, and consumption-based billing models.
  • Experience managing complex B2B contracts, renewals, amendments, credits, disputes, and customer-specific billing requirements.
  • Proven experience integrating billing platforms with CRM, CPQ, ERP, tax, payment, order management, and data systems.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading distributed or global teams.
  • Preferred experience in telecommunications, fiber networks, cloud services, SaaS, managed services, data centers, or other recurring-revenue industries.
  • Familiarity with enterprise ERP systems, CRM platforms, tax solutions, revenue recognition standards, and billing-related technologies is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPA, CMA, MBA, or platform-specific certifications are advantageous.
