Position Summary

The Sales Territory Manager is responsible for increasing sales, growing market share, and strengthening customer relationships within an assigned territory. This role requires a driven, results-oriented sales professional who can prospect for new business, develop existing accounts, and convert opportunities into orders.

The ideal candidate has a hunter mentality, takes ownership of territory growth, actively pursues new opportunities, and consistently asks for commitments that move business forward. Success in this position comes from balancing aggressive new account acquisition with strong account management and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new dealer, distributor, and aftermarket accessory accounts to increase sales and market share.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through regular territory coverage, training, support, and business development activities
  • Increase Demco product placement, stocking levels, and product-line penetration within current accounts.
  • Identify and convert competitive opportunities to expand Demco's market presence.
  • Conduct sales calls, product demonstrations, business reviews, and customer training.
  • Promote dealer and distributor stocking programs that support mutual growth and profitability.
  • Utilize CRM daily to manage customer activity, sales opportunities, follow-up actions, and field notes.
  • Work wholesale and retail trade shows to generate leads, develop relationships, and drive sales opportunities.
  • Monitor competitive activity, inventory levels, market trends, and customer needs throughout the territory.
  • Provide customer feedback, product insights, and market intelligence to support company growth initiatives.
  • Efficiently plan territory travel and customer visits to maximize productivity and sales results.
  • Consistently ask for the order, stocking commitment, product trial, appointment, or a clearly defined next step during customer interactions.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and business development skills.
  • Hunter mindset with the ability to win new business while growing existing accounts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical product applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Ability to travel overnight approximately 50-60%.
  • Must reside within the territory and have reasonable access to a major airport.
