Title: AM Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Location: Stuart, FL

Type: Full-Time | Onsite | Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

The AM Shipping and Receiving Supervisor oversees daily logistics operations within the facility, ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of perishable goods. This role involves managing the shipping and receiving teams, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining strict quality control and compliance with food safety standards. The supervisor monitors inventory levels, ensures correct storage conditions, and schedules deliveries to meet production timelines while minimizing spoilage. They also work closely with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to optimize logistics processes, handle any discrepancies, and address any issues promptly to maintain quality and minimize delays.

Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adequate training and understanding of FAMOUS & RIMS as it relates to the coordination of accurate order fulfillment
  • Firm knowledge of product sizes, varieties, sensitivity, location, and backgrounds.
  • Verify correct labeling of orders; ensures proper pallet count; verifies that order is adequately selected; understands the role of a Forklift driver & Stacker; familiarizes pallets with proper palletization and stacking procedures; understands FIFO method; assists in clean billing of orders; repack broken products for continued usage; knows when to release an order, knows when to release backorders.
  • Properly and efficiently assign work for forklift drivers before they arrive for another assignment.
  • Understand preferences for the various customer bases, ensuring proper quality and quantity for customer orders; expresses neatness and care through proper order selection. Special request, correct production trailer.
  • Direct implementation of the “Priority Load List & Load Planner” while working closely with client services, supply, and operations departments to ensure proper delivery schedule; understanding of proper loading techniques; complies with customer loading preferences; ensures all customer orders are completed along with any order additions.
  • Maintain, keep, and clean office create an organized and workable environment and respect all company property and equipment.
  • Completion of paperwork neatly and legibly; ability to communicate effectively; ability to assist and go above what is asked; expressing concern and care for the company and fellow associates; develops proper tools that make a good leader.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Occupational Safety procedures, and all Food Safety guidelines related to the position of being on the Warehouse floor.
  • Follow compliance with GMP, USDA, and DOL standards.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations is preferred but not necessary
  • Knowledge of Forklift and Computer Systems is preferred
  • Experience with producing distribution software systems is preferred
  • Basic mathematical and literacy skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Spanish language is preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment handling perishable goods.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures depending on storage areas, including refrigerated or cold storage.
  • Fast-paced environment with deadlines for shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.
  • Frequent interaction with warehouse staff, forklift operators, vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
  • Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), USDA, DOL, and food safety standards is required.
  • Occasional office work for paperwork, reporting, and coordination.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and climb as needed during daily tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry items as required, including pallets and packaged goods (weight may vary).
  • Visual ability to inspect products, verify labeling, and monitor inventory and order accuracy.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for paperwork, scanning, and interacting with equipment.
  • Ability to oversee forklift operations and safely navigate the warehouse floor.
