Position Summary:
Responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to and from our many casino locations in New Hampshire. Additionally, the Delivery Driver/Receiver will play a crucial role in the receiving process, ensuring accurate and timely handling of incoming shipments.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
- Efficiently load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle, ensuring the proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery and receiving records, including signatures, timestamps, and any other required documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on delivery vehicles, reporting any issues promptly and ensuring they are addressed to prevent operational disruptions.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to delivery, safety, and security to maintain a high standard of operational integrity.
- Communicate effectively with staff and supervisors to relay important information regarding deliveries and receiving activities.
- Assist in the inspection and verification of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies, damages, or issues related to deliveries or received goods in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about and comply with local, state, and federal regulations governing the transportation and delivery of goods.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, maybe exposed to secondhand smoke except and varied light levels, including flashing lights. Ability to stand, walk, bend for entire shift.
