Job Description
This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing closing-related wire transactions and mortgage payoff disbursements, while ensuring compliance with company policies, investor requirements, and fraud prevention procedures. This role supports closing teams by ensuring funds are accurately wired and existing liens are properly paid following loan closing.

Pay range for this hourly position is $23.61 - $27.60/hr with a progressive benefits package.
Responsibilities

- Ensures confidentiality of member information.
- Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Participates in mortgage closing activities by supporting borrowers, settlement agents, title companies, and internal loan teams to ensure timely and accurate funding.
- Reviews loan files and funding packages to verify completeness, data integrity, required documentation, approval signatures, and routine closing conditions prior to funding.
- Prepares, reviews, and distributes closing documents, Closing Disclosures (CDs), re-disclosures, escrow statements, payoff requests, and other required mortgage documentation.
- Initiates, verifies, reconciles, and tracks wire transfers, loan proceeds, payoffs, and disbursements while following fraud prevention and wire verification procedures.
- Communicates funding status, wire confirmations, and closing updates to settlement agents, title partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Processes payoff transactions, closing fees, invoices, disbursement checks, and general ledger (GL) entries while ensuring accurate financial reconciliation.
- Supports title ordering, documentation review, and discrepancy resolution by identifying missing information and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Ensures compliance with state, federal, investor, and credit union regulations, including accurate re-disclosures for changed circumstances, rate adjustments, and fee updates.
- Maintains operational efficiency by supporting high-volume workflows, assisting with unclaimed property research, and providing administrative support to senior closing staff.
- Participate in community involvement activities and perform additional mortgage-related duties, projects, and cross-functional support as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)
- Interpersonal skills to represent the Credit Union in a positive way during member contact.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to gather data from a number of sources and to represent the Credit Union positively during such contacts.
- Ability to provide quality service to members by phone or in person or by email.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and organize work efficiently, to handle large volumes of details.
- Ability to operate related computer applications, on-line terminal and other standard office equipment such as a calculator and typewriter.
- Accuracy and attention to detail required.
- Lending policies and Real Estate knowledge helpful.
- Demonstrates reliable attendance by arriving on time, fulfilling scheduled work hours, and working additional hours as needed to support business demands.
- Must be bondable.
