This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Platform Engineer, SAP Security based in the United States.
This remote role sits at the intersection of SAP platforms, cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise technology. You will help strengthen the security and resilience of critical SAP environments while supporting broader information security objectives. The position combines hands-on security technology implementation with risk assessment, governance, and day-to-day operational support. You’ll collaborate with technical specialists, business stakeholders, internal teams, and third-party providers in a global environment. The role also offers opportunities to influence security standards, improve awareness, and drive consistent compliance practices. It is well suited to an analytical, collaborative security professional who enjoys solving complex technology challenges and turning security requirements into practical solutions.
- Assess information security risks against internal policies, external best practices, and applicable security and compliance requirements, identifying opportunities to strengthen SAP security and controls.
- Test security systems and controls, apply established security standards and procedures, and contribute to the protection of enterprise technology resources.
- Implement and support cybersecurity technologies and security capabilities within SAP environments under the direction of global information security leadership.
- Provide ongoing operational support for SAP security platforms, helping troubleshoot issues and maintain reliable security services.
- Manage third-party security vendors and partners where applicable, ensuring internal and external stakeholders meet required security standards and expectations.
- Support the development and implementation of security strategies, governance practices, policies, standards, and awareness initiatives.
- Deliver information security training and awareness sessions to relevant teams, helping strengthen security knowledge and adoption across the organization.
- Collaborate effectively with technical experts, managers, peers, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve security challenges and advance shared objectives.
- Experience in information security management, cybersecurity risk, compliance, governance, or related technology security disciplines, with an understanding of how security controls apply within enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of SAP security and enterprise security solutions, with the ability to assess their applicability, effectiveness, and operational requirements.
- Familiarity with information security strategies, governance frameworks, security policies and standards, risk management practices, and security awareness programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a practical approach to investigating issues and developing effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical specialists, managers, and business stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, including the ability to support colleagues, influence stakeholders, and contribute toward shared team objectives.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, remote environment while managing priorities and supporting day-to-day security operations.
- A relevant background in information technology, cybersecurity, SAP, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Base salary range of $86,900–$119,515, with the final offer determined by experience, skills, education, location, and other relevant factors.
