Position Overview

At True North Fleet Services, in partnership with trusted partner – Billy Bob's Repair and Tire, are looking for a Diesel Technician who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and on the road. This role supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and quality repairs on heavy-duty diesel equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues
• Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership

Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel or heavy-duty maintenance experience (fleet, dealership, or independent shop)
• ASE T-Series certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
