Working closely with cross-functional partners across Finance, Billing, and Operations, you will help translate complex data into clear financial insights. - Support and execute key components of the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and GAAP standards.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for revenue-related accounts.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Billing, and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve data accuracy and financial workflows.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and internal reporting packages related to revenue performance and compliance.
- Assist in maintaining and improving revenue accounting processes, systems, and controls to support scalability in a high-growth environment.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify inconsistencies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support audit requests and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on revenue accounting under ASC 606.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis functions.
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across Finance, Billing, and Operations teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred: CPA certification (or in progress), public accounting experience, or startup/high-growth company exposure.
- Preferred: Experience with revenue automation tools, system implementations, or AI-enabled finance processes.
