Job Description

Senior Commercial Finance Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager in United States.

The role sits at the core of a high-growth, data-driven organization where commercial finance directly shapes executive and board-level decisions. You will act as a key partner to Revenue, Sales, and GTM leadership, translating complex performance data into clear financial narratives that guide strategy. Operating in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, you will own critical reporting cadences and deliver insights that influence both short-term execution and long-term planning. This is a hands-on, high-visibility contract role requiring strong independence and sharp analytical judgment. You will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all commercial reporting outputs. The position is ideal for a finance leader who thrives on turning numbers into actionable business insight and driving operational excellence across teams.

Accountabilities
  • Own core commercial revenue reporting processes, including daily and weekly dashboards, revenue trackers, and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain executive-level materials such as KPI reviews, SLT updates, and Board presentations, translating complex data into clear business narratives.
  • Conduct in-depth variance and performance analysis to explain revenue trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Support quarterly forecasting and sales target-setting processes by reconciling data, identifying gaps, and highlighting key business drivers.
  • Lead commercial commission analysis and reporting, supporting leadership decisions on compensation, incentives, and performance outcomes.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial and commercial analysis to support real-time decision-making across Revenue, GTM, and Sales organizations.
  • Improve and maintain financial reporting infrastructure by identifying inefficiencies, reducing manual work, and enhancing data integrity.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, and GTM teams to align financial outputs with business drivers.
  • Ensure rigorous quality control across all deliverables by validating data, identifying anomalies, and enforcing reporting accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field with 12+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in commercial or sales finance.
  • Strong expertise in Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to independently build and maintain complex financial models and reporting systems.
  • Advanced data analysis skills with experience reconciling multiple data sources and resolving inconsistencies.
  • Proven experience producing executive-level reporting, including Board materials, KPI dashboards, and leadership presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into concise, executive-ready insights and narratives.
  • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments, quickly ramping on new processes and delivering with minimal oversight.
  • Strong commercial finance background, ideally within high-growth, SaaS, or ad tech environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgment, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly compensation aligned with market benchmarks ($100–$113/hour).
  • Fully remote work flexibility within eligible US states.
  • Exposure to executive leadership and high-impact strategic decision-making.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a fast-scaling, data-driven global organization.
  • Collaborative, high-performance environment with strong cross-functional exposure.
  • Access to comprehensive benefits (medical coverage, wellness support, and additional perks depending on location).
  • Flexible engagement model with recurring high-visibility deliverables and strategic ownership.
