Maintenance Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina at Myers Park Country Club, Inc

Myers Park Country Club is seeking a reliable and efficient Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a great “all hands-on deck” attitude and working knowledge of how to maintain and make general repairs around the clubhouse. • Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, HVAC, woodwork, electrical systems, kitchen equipment, walk in coolers, ice machines, furniture etc.
• Upkeeps appliances, elevators, ventilation systems and building structures of the club.
• Conducts repairs to plumbing, such as leaking pipes and faucets and clogged drains.
• Performs various duties involving plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
• Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators, small motors, fans and lamps.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs and troubleshooting to all equipment.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club’s PM procedures.
• Installs tile, drywall; makes grouting repairs, patches walls.
• Hands-on capabilities for repairs to locks, plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, minor carpentry work.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous repetitive motions.
• Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.

Qualifications:

• One year of prior maintenance experience, country club setting is a plus.
• At least one to two years in HVAC field is preferred.
• Electrical experience is preferred.
