Position Overview
Allegiance Medical Group is seeking a licensed Psychologist or Psychiatrist to serve as an Independent Contractor Medical Examiner performing Compensation & Pension (C&P) psychological disability evaluations and occupational health examinations.
This role focuses on conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, completing detailed medical documentation, and delivering high-quality reports that support federal disability and occupational health determinations.

Employment Type & Schedule
- Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
- Schedule: Flexible Part-Time | Approximately 1–2 Days Per Week
- Work Setting: In-Person Clinical Environment
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) psychological disability examinations in accordance with VA standards and protocols
- Perform occupational and federal psychological evaluations as assigned
- Conduct focused and comprehensive psychological assessments and functional evaluations
- Perform standardized psychological and integrative neuropsychological testing when indicated
- Evaluate psychological conditions, injuries, and disabilities and accurately document findings
- Complete detailed, objective, and timely medical documentation and reports
- Collaborate with administrative and case management staff to ensure quality and turnaround expectations are met
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, HIPAA, and organizational standards
- Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all patient interactions

Requirements:Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited institution
- Active and unrestricted license to practice psychology or psychiatry
- Ability to perform comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
- Excellent written documentation and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in a structured clinical environment
- Ability to manage multiple case assignments while maintaining high attention to detail
- Proficiency with secure EMR systems and HIPAA-compliant documentation practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification preferred
- Previous experience conducting Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations or federal disability evaluations
- Experience with occupational health evaluations and federal agency standards
- Familiarity with VA disability examination protocols and reporting requirements

- Ensure all reports and documentation are submitted within required turnaround times
- Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and completeness in all evaluations and reports
