Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer in United States.
This role sits at the heart of next-generation automotive electronics development, focusing on ensuring the integrity and reliability of high-speed digital hardware systems used in advanced vehicle platforms. The engineer will work on complex ECU and in-vehicle electronic designs, supporting architectures that include cutting-edge interfaces such as DDR5, PCIe, USB4, SerDes, and Ethernet. They will combine simulation, lab validation, and hands-on debugging to identify and resolve signal integrity challenges across the full product lifecycle. Operating in a highly collaborative engineering environment, the role requires close interaction with PCB layout, hardware, and mechanical teams to optimize high-speed signal performance. The position also contributes directly to improving design methodologies, standards, and validation strategies for robust hardware development. This is a high-impact role where technical expertise directly influences product quality, performance, and time-to-market for advanced automotive systems.
The Senior Signal Integrity Engineer is responsible for ensuring robust high-speed signal performance across complex hardware designs used in automotive electronics systems. This includes performing advanced simulations, validating designs in both virtual and physical environments, and supporting product development from concept through production.
- Conduct signal integrity simulations using tools such as HyperLynx, HFSS, CST, or equivalent platforms
- Identify and resolve signal degradation issues including crosstalk, reflections, attenuation, and noise
- Analyze PCB layouts and provide actionable recommendations to improve high-speed signal routing and performance
- Collaborate with hardware, PCB layout, and mechanical teams to optimize signal paths and ensure design compliance with specifications
- Evaluate power delivery network (PDN) performance to reduce noise, ground bounce, and related integrity issues
- Develop, execute, and refine test strategies using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, VNAs, and TDRs
- Support bring-up activities and troubleshoot SI issues during prototype validation and product launch phases
- Create and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and SI validation checklists to support engineering teams
This role requires strong expertise in high-speed signal integrity analysis and hands-on experience in both simulation and lab environments. Candidates should be comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and contributing to continuous engineering improvements.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in signal integrity or high-speed hardware design engineering
- Strong understanding of high-speed transmission principles including impedance, noise, crosstalk, and signal attenuation
- Hands-on experience with interfaces such as LPDDR5, PCIe, USB4, SerDes, and Ethernet
- Proficiency with SI simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, SIwave, CST, or similar industry-standard software
- Practical experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs, and protocol analyzers
- Ability to diagnose complex hardware issues and support product bring-up and validation
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines
- Competitive compensation package aligned with industry standards
- Eligibility for relocation support (where applicable)
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance from day one
- Retirement and financial wellbeing programs
- Flexible work environment depending on role and project needs
- Career development opportunities within advanced automotive technology programs
- Inclusive and supportive workplace culture focused on innovation and belonging
- Access to employee wellness initiatives and resources
