This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Full Stack Developer – DevOps & Cloud Systems in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of full stack engineering and cloud infrastructure, offering the opportunity to build and scale end-to-end systems powering a high-growth SaaS platform. You will contribute across backend services, APIs, frontend components, and cloud-native infrastructure, helping ensure the reliability and performance of production systems. The environment is fast-moving, highly collaborative, and deeply technical, with strong emphasis on ownership and automation. You will play a key role in improving CI/CD pipelines, observability, and deployment workflows while contributing directly to product evolution. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across the stack and solving complex distributed systems challenges. Your work will directly impact system scalability, developer productivity, and platform resilience across a cloud-first architecture.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for building and maintaining full stack applications and cloud infrastructure that support scalable, high-performance systems.

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, and internal developer tools
  • Build frontend features and internal interfaces using React or similar modern frameworks
  • Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and service-to-service communication across distributed systems
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release workflows
  • Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure (ECS, EKS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch)
  • Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Develop automation scripts to improve deployment, monitoring, and operational efficiency
  • Support observability through logging, metrics, dashboards, and alerting systems
  • Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to root cause analysis and system reliability improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Support to deliver stable releases
  • Leverage AI tools to improve development velocity, documentation, testing, and debugging workflows
Requirements:

You bring strong full stack engineering expertise combined with hands-on DevOps and cloud experience, with the ability to operate across complex systems.

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in full stack, backend, or cloud engineering roles
  • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in React or similar frontend frameworks
  • Solid experience building backend systems, APIs, integrations, and microservices architectures
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git-based development workflows
  • Strong database experience with systems such as PostgreSQL and other relational or NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with distributed systems concepts such as messaging, caching, and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry
  • Understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and cloud security best practices
  • Experience supporting production systems and improving operational reliability
  • Exposure to SaaS, IoT, logistics, or fleet/telemetry-based systems is an asset
  • Comfortable using AI-powered development tools to accelerate engineering workflows
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work environment with flexible arrangements
  • Competitive compensation with performance-based considerations
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact, large-scale cloud systems
  • Strong focus on learning, mentorship, and technical growth
  • Access to modern tools and AI-assisted engineering workflows
  • Collaborative, high-trust culture emphasizing ownership and autonomy
  • Meaningful work contributing to real-world operational systems and logistics efficiency.
