Valley Tree Care is seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Technician to help keep our vehicles, equipment, and facilities operating smoothly. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping things running. Salary: $42,000-$58,000 annually
What You'll Be Working On
Approximate breakdown of responsibilities:
- 30% truck maintenance and repairs
- 30% wood chipper maintenance and repairs
- 30% small engine maintenance and repairs
- 10% facility and shop maintenance
Equipment You'll Maintain :
- Pickup trucks
- Dump trucks
- Wood chippers
- Stump grinders
- Trailers
- Chainsaws
- Skid steers
- Other fleet and operational equipment as needed
Responsibilities :
- Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment
- Complete oil changes, filter replacements, brake work, tires, and routine service tasks
- Diagnose and repair small engine issues
- Identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues
- Keep the shop, yard, and work areas clean and organized
- Manage inventory and maintain organization of parts, tools, and supplies
- Assist with general handyman and facility maintenance projects
- Work closely with operations staff to minimize downtime across the fleet
Qualifications :
- At least 1 year prior mechanical experience preferred; formal certifications are not required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and relatively clean driving record
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance, or small engine repair preferred
- Mechanically inclined individuals with strong problem-solving abilities are encouraged to apply
- Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors in Arizona conditions
- Ability to lift equipment and parts as needed
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Schedule :
