Department 411 – Life Cycle Support Programs
Life Cycle Support Programs is the program office for the Hull Planning Yard. In this capacity we are responsible for administering both the OMNIBUS and Spare Parts BOA contracts that provide life cycle support for all active-duty submarine classes. We oversee tasking to design system updates and upgrades, maintain configuration control, provide Integrated Logistics Support documentation, kit and manufacture shipboard alteration packages as well as deliver spare parts to the naval supply system.
Role Overview
As a D411 Fleet Material Support & Logistics Program Representative, you will manage a variety of tasks associated with material support for active duty U.S. Navy submarine Ship Alterations. This cross-functional role collaborates with Finance, Purchasing, Planning, Design, Engineering, Manufacturing Trades, related Program Office roles, as well as groups outside the company such as our vendors and our customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive cost control, strategic planning & scheduling, and execute projects for various U.S. Navy customers
- Collaborate with materials management, planning, engineering, and other EB departments to generate shop orders, work orders, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, etc
- Manage and accelerate the ship alteration material kit procurement process from start to finish
- Act as a liaison with internal stakeholders and external customers
- Occasional travel is required, including Washington Engineering Office in Washington DC, vendor locations, and off-site EB locations
The successful candidate for this position must possess strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and project management skills. This individual must have the ability to communicate professionally, developing and maintaining an excellent relationship with EB management and the customer.
Responsibilities
- Strong computer skills, especially in Excel, Power Point, MRP II, Oracle, Electronic Desktop, JIRA, SPARS
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and willingness to learn
- Ability to function independently without significant oversight
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- 2+ years of experience with project management, planning, supply chain, or logistics
Preferred:
- Associates degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Logistics, Project Management, or related field
- Ability to interpret drawings
- Experience supporting shipyard operations/construction
- Experience working with U.S. Navy or DoD
