This role sits at the heart of the auto claims process, ensuring customers receive accurate, timely, and empathetic support when dealing with vehicle damage and repair needs. You will be responsible for assessing claims, reviewing policy coverage, and determining liability in a variety of complex automobile scenarios. The position requires strong investigative skills and the ability to analyze damage, interpret insurance policies, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders. You will interact closely with customers, repair shops, towing services, law enforcement, and other insurers to ensure fair and efficient claim resolution. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will balance technical claims assessment with high-quality customer service. This is a highly impactful role where attention to detail and communication directly shape the customer experience during critical moments.
This role is responsible for managing complex auto insurance claims, ensuring accurate assessment, fair settlements, and effective coordination across all involved parties.
- Review insurance policies and determine applicable coverage for automobile claims.
- Investigate complex claims, including cases involving liability disputes, impaired driving, unlisted operators, or non-drivable vehicles.
- Assess vehicle damage, prepare repair estimates, and evaluate repair timelines and associated costs.
- Negotiate claim settlements in alignment with internal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with customers, repair shops, towing services, law enforcement, and other insurers to resolve claims efficiently.
- Ensure accurate documentation and case management throughout the claims lifecycle.
- Deliver high-quality customer service while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
This role requires experience in automobile claims handling, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex customer-facing cases in a structured insurance environment.
- 1–3 years of experience handling automobile insurance claims, including complex cases.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies and ability to interpret coverage details accurately.
- Knowledge of vehicle damage assessment and repair estimation processes.
- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems, documentation tools, and keyboarding skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional insurance-related education is an asset.
- Enrollment in or willingness to pursue CIP designation is considered an advantage.
