Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily operations and workforce activities within the mill-turn machining department.
• Ensure production targets, schedules, and quality expectations are consistently achieved with maximum efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve the performance of advanced CNC mill-turn equipment, including WFL machines.
• Collaborate closely with Programming, Engineering, and Quality teams to streamline workflows, optimize machining processes, and enhance operational performance.
• Promote and maintain workplace safety, quality compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department.
• Manage tooling inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and operational readiness.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership in troubleshooting manufacturing challenges, resolving production issues, and implementing process improvements to improve productivity and product quality.
• Maintain strong communication across internal teams and external stakeholders to support seamless operations.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment while supporting employee development and accountability.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining and mill-turn manufacturing processes is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience documenting corrective actions and implementing process improvements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal capabilities.
• Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and effective workplace collaboration.
• Skilled in conflict management with the confidence and tact to address challenging situations and drive team success.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods depending on operational demands.
• Frequent use of hands for handling tools, inspecting components, and interacting with equipment.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and move material carts as required.
