About the role:

SpeedX is seeking a results-driven finance technologist to own end-to-end process and system automation across the full finance value chain — from business operations data capture through settlement, accounting, analysis, and executive reporting. This role sits at the intersection of finance, technology, and process design, and requires the maturity to partner cross-functionally, diagnose root-cause pain points, and translate them into scalable, audit-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Process & System Automation

• Design and deliver automation spanning the full finance value chain — from upstream business operations (orders, shipments, billing) through settlement, accounting, analysis, and executive dashboards — ensuring seamless, low-touch data flows from source to insight.
• Own the integration layer between business and finance systems; ensure transactional data is captured, validated, and posted into the ERP without manual touchpoints.
• Lead design, configuration, and rollout of finance system enhancements, RPA bots, intelligent automation, and workflow tools across AR, AP, GL, settlement, reconciliation, and month-end close.
• Develop and maintain the finance automation roadmap — prioritize candidates by ROI, risk, and complexity; sequence delivery in waves; maintain a transparent backlog visible to finance and business leadership.
• Partner with IT, business teams, and external vendors to scope requirements, build process flows, manage UAT, drive go-live, and ensure stable post-launch operations.
• Champion an "automate-first" mindset across finance and business teams; surface new automation opportunities and reduce dependence on manual processing.

Finance Settlement & Accounting Automation

• Automate the full settlement lifecycle — from rate calculation and invoice generation, through dispute handling, payment processing, and clearing — in full compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS requirements.
• Standardize and automate accounting workflows: journal entries, AR/AP processing, intercompany transactions, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Build automated controls and exception handling with clear audit trails, validation logic, and escalation paths for every automated transaction.

Financial Analysis & Dashboard Automation

• Build automated data pipelines from ERP and operational systems into analysis-ready datasets that feed FP&A, management reporting, and ad-hoc analytics.
• Design and deliver executive dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) surfacing P&L, cost, volume, productivity, and KPI metrics in near real-time — replacing manual Excel reporting cycles.
• Enable self-service analytics for finance and business stakeholders with consistent data definitions, refresh cycles, and drill-down capability.

Process Diagnosis, Standardization & Optimization

• Map and assess existing end-to-end processes across business operations, settlement, accounting, and reporting; identify redundant, inefficient, and high-risk manual steps.
• Deliver structured process optimization reports with clear recommendations, automation proposals, and quantified impact (hours saved, error reduction, cycle-time improvement).
• Author SOPs, control documentation, and process flows meeting internal control, audit, and U.S. tax requirements.
• Re-engineer processes before automating — eliminate non-value-add steps, simplify handoffs, and ensure the right process is automated, not just the existing one.

System Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

• Manage daily operations and maintenance of finance automation tools, RPA bots, data pipelines, dashboards, and finance systems; monitor performance and resolve incidents in coordination with IT.
• Continuously optimize automated workflows to adapt to evolving business models, volume growth, and regulatory changes.
• Establish monitoring dashboards and KPIs tracking automation health, exception rates, straight-through processing rates, and data quality.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Project Leadership

• Serve as the finance systems and automation point of contact for accounting, FP&A, settlement, operations, commercial, and IT teams — translating requirements in both directions.
• Support audit, tax, and compliance reviews by ensuring system-generated records, audit trails, and reconciliations are accurate and traceable end-to-end.
• Lead or co-lead end-to-end finance transformation projects — ERP enhancements, settlement automation, RPA deployments, IDP, BI build-outs, and data platform improvements.
• Coach the broader finance team on automated tools and system best practices; deliver training and documentation that drives self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of progressive finance experience, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to end-to-end finance process automation, RPA delivery, or finance systems implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IRS tax requirements; state and local tax familiarity is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying end-to-end automation spanning business operations, settlement, accounting, analysis, and reporting — with measurable outcomes.
• Deep, hands-on understanding of full-cycle accounting and settlement processes; able to independently diagnose pain points and convert them into automation solutions.
• Proven process mapping, re-engineering, and logical analysis skills; able to independently scope, design, and deliver process redesign initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with one or more major ERP/finance systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), at least one RPA platform (UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere), and at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau).
• Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of SQL or Python for data analysis and pipeline building preferred.
• Strong project management capability — able to drive cross-functional automation initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).

Preferred

• Experience in logistics, express delivery, transportation, cross-border e-commerce, or other high-volume transactional industries.
• Prior involvement in finance shared services, finance transformation, or overseas subsidiary setup.
• Exposure to internal control frameworks (SOX), audit coordination, and finance data governance.
• Familiarity with intelligent automation, OCR/IDP, low-code platforms, data warehousing, or AI-assisted finance tools.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification.
