Forklift Driver / Loader in Pineville, North Carolina at GableStone LLC

The Forklift Driver / Loader is responsible for safely receiving, moving, storing, loading, and unloading granite, quartz, and other stone materials throughout the fabrication facility. This position plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring materials are available for fabrication, inventory is accurately maintained, and finished products are prepared for shipment and delivery.

• Safely operate forklifts, boom lifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment in accordance with company safety standards.
• Load and unload stone slabs, finished countertops, crates, and fabrication materials from trucks and trailers.
• Transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility to support production schedules.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders and shipping documents.
• Stage materials for fabrication, polishing, assembly, and shipping operations.
• Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and material tracking.
• Secure and protect finished products during loading to prevent damage during transport.
• Conduct daily forklift and equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard areas.
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and material handling procedures.
• Assist production and warehouse teams with general labor duties as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of stone slabs and finished products.
• Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum one year of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or fabrication environment preferred.
• Previous experience handling stone, granite, quartz, building materials, or other heavy products preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely handle large and heavy stone materials.
