Are you a seasoned irrigation professional looking for a stable, full-time role where your expertise is valued?

We are seeking an Irrigation Technician to manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems for our residential and commercial properties. If you have a sharp eye for troubleshooting and at least 5 years of hands-on experience, we want to hear from you.

Compensation & Premium Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (highly dependent on diagnostic expertise).

Requirements:

What We Are Looking For

  • Two-Wire System Expertise: Advanced proficiency with Hunter ACC2/ICD and Rain Bird ESP-LXIVM systems. You must be highly skilled in decoder troubleshooting, finding shorts, diagnosing open wires, and wire path tracing.
  • Electrical Diagnostics: Complete comfort using a multimeter, wire locator, and valve locator to perform solenoid resistance, amp, and voltage testing.
  • Advanced Valve Troubleshooting: Proven ability to quickly diagnose stuck or weeping valves, diaphragm failures, and complex master valve issues.
  • Controller Programming: Ability to program commercial controllers, build customized water schedules, adjust run times, and diagnose communication faults.
  • Heads, Coverage, & Pipe Repair: Mastery of matched precipitation, nozzle selection, head spacing, and high-pressure PVC mainline/lateral repairs.
  • Core Requirements: A valid driver's license, excellent physical stamina for outdoor work, and top-tier problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial and residential irrigation systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools to solve complex electrical and hydraulic issues efficiently.
  • Clearly document all repairs, recommend system improvements, and communicate professionally with property managers.

Minimum Required Experience and Education

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated irrigation experience. Experience in commercial settings is highly preferred, though residential experience is acceptable.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of system components (valves, controllers, sprinklers) and water conservation practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and a sharp attention to detail.
  • Credentials: A valid driver’s license is required. Certifications in irrigation or water management are preferred but not required.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical, outdoor labor in various weather conditions.
