The Parts Sales position is a critical role within the transportation industry, focused on driving sales and managing customer relationships for a diverse range of parts and components. This role requires collaboration with inventory management, logistics, and technical teams to maintain product availability and resolve any issues that may arise. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within transportation and parts distribution.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and order processing systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office software such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience using CDK or parts inventory software.
  • Knowledge of the specific parts or components relevant to the industry served.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to identify their parts requirements and provide tailored product recommendations.
  • Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all customer specifications are met.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, pricing, and inventory levels to inform customers effectively.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply chain issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Track sales performance and report on key metrics to management for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels by communicating demand forecasts and sales trends.
