Job Title: Human Resource Administrative Assistant


Position Overview:
The Human Resource Admin Asst is responsible for the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department. This includes monitoring recruitment, pay and benefits administration, employee leave, payroll duties, and enforcing company policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals. In addition, assisting the SVP of Operations with daily tasks and duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Human Resource Strategy & Talent Management:
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's HR and talent strategy, with a focus on talent acquisition, employee retention, and succession planning.
  • Employee Support & Guidance:
  • Provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and staff on complex, specialized, and sensitive issues.
  • Administer and execute routine tasks in delicate situations, such as reasonable accommodations, investigations of alleged wrongdoing, and employee terminations.
  • Talent Acquisition:
  • Assist with the talent acquisition process, including setting up the recruiting system, and process the paperwork for hiring qualified candidates, exempt, and non-exempt roles.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to maintain the job descriptions and create new ones as needed.
  • Compensation, Benefits, & Payroll Management:
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive pay and incentive programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Oversee and support payroll duties, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee pay, deductions, and benefits contributions.
  • Review and troubleshoot payroll issues, coordinating with the finance department as necessary to resolve discrepancies.
  • Learning & Development:
  • Disseminate learning and development materials that promote internal growth and career advancement for employees.
  • Disciplinary Process Management:
  • File the proper paperwork for employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, ensuring processes are conducted fairly and in accordance with company policies.
  • Compliance & Policy Management:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Review and update policies and practices to maintain legal compliance and align with best practices.
  • Industry Knowledge:
  • Stay informed of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR department and organizational goals.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Interpersonal & Customer Service Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
  • Organizational Skills:
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a must.
  • Familiar with the Paylocity third party software a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Education:
  • College degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience in the Human Resource field.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work Environment:
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer.
  • Lifting Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds as needed.
