Software Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Developer based in Canada.

Join a technology team focused on designing and delivering modern cloud-based applications that power critical business operations. In this role, you'll contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization. You'll work with scalable cloud technologies, modern development practices, and cross-functional teams to build secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions. Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain scalable cloud-native business applications.
  • Build and maintain software solutions using modern programming languages and cloud technologies.
  • Migrate existing applications to cloud environments and develop new cloud-native applications.
  • Integrate multiple data sources while identifying and resolving compatibility, security, and performance issues.
  • Design, configure, and implement cloud software solutions that address real business needs.
  • Maintain cloud infrastructure and application platforms while supporting performance optimization initiatives.
  • Develop cloud workflows, processes, and architectures aligned with industry best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and cloud deployment guidelines.
  • Build and support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using modern development practices.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver effective software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders while independently managing complex technical assignments.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues using sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in software development or a related technical role.
  • Postsecondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience developing cloud-based applications and working with cloud platforms and services.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with modern programming and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture, cloud storage, SaaS, PaaS, and cloud security principles.
  • Familiarity with database technologies, configuration management, and IT automation.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and modern development environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability, creativity, emotional intelligence, and a customer-focused approach to software development.
