Senior Innovation Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Innovation Manager based in the United States.

You will translate consumer insights, emerging trends, and scientific advancements into impactful product strategies that drive long-term growth.
The position sits at the intersection of brand strategy, innovation, consumer behavior, and commercial execution.
You will lead the innovation pipeline from early concepts through commercialization, bringing disruptive ideas to market.

Accountabilities:
  • Execute short- and long-term innovation strategies by building and managing a disruptive product pipeline focused on breakthrough opportunities and core business growth.
  • Lead innovation projects through stage gates, commercialization, and market launches across retail and digital channels.
  • Identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and white-space opportunities to create new growth platforms and competitive advantages.
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams across Brand Strategy, Marketing, Insights, Finance, and eCommerce to develop winning innovation initiatives.
  • Create compelling innovation stories and strategic narratives for customers across brick-and-mortar and online channels.
  • Use consumer insights, market data, and category trends to influence innovation priorities and identify growth opportunities.
  • Support long-term brand strategy by bringing forward new ideas, market perspectives, and innovation recommendations.
  • Manage collaboration across internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of innovation programs.
  • Contribute to a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and developing team capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 5–12 years of experience in brand strategy, innovation, product development, or related roles within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Proven experience creating new markets, developing new categories, and launching successful innovations from concept to commercialization.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify trends, consumer opportunities, and future growth spaces.
  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting syndicated data, consumer insights, and market performance information.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations and actionable strategies.
  • Experience working across multiple customer channels, including eCommerce and traditional retail environments.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate ideas effectively through PowerPoint and data analysis tools such as Excel.
  • Collaborative and adaptable mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-moving environment and manage changing priorities.
  • Passion for health, wellness, beauty, and consumer innovation, with a strong desire to build transformational brands.
  • Experience developing and mentoring others, with strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • MBA preferred but not required.

  • Competitive base salary range of $147,000–$161,700, based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
