Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center

Job Type: Full-Time
Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director to lead the James A. Baker Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Center (CSU). This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the program, ensuring the safety and well-being of consumers, and providing supervision and support to program staff. The Director promotes high-quality, recovery-oriented behavioral health services while ensuring compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and clinical standards.
Essential Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the CSU program.
- Supervise, mentor, and support clinical and administrative staff.
- Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for consumers.
- Promote recovery-oriented, person-centered behavioral health services.
- Monitor program compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to improve program performance and service delivery.
- Oversee administrative functions, documentation, and program operations.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field, OR
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current West Virginia license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Behavioral health or clinical experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of behavioral health regulations and best practices.
- Ability to foster collaboration and promote a positive team culture.
- Commitment to recovery-oriented care and excellent customer service.
