The Shipping Associate processes orders through the bulk-packing and shipping steps of our value chain, holding safety and quality/accuracy paramount while working efficiently to best serve our customers. Attention to detail is vital as orders are processed through our system and carrier systems. Shipping instructions must be followed, and any delivery term questions must be clarified (instead of making potentially costly assumptions). A logical approach to prioritizing work is key – processing orders based on need-by dates and strategic criticality. This role is very important, as it is a direct touchpoint with our customers (and the last one before orders departs).

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions:

  1. Ensure timely and accurate processing of order shipments in our MRP system and carrier systems (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).
  2. Match physical goods to sales orders to ensure the correct products are being shipped to the correct locations.
  3. Ensure delivery terms are being executed correctly, aligning what is detailed in our system to the specified Incoterm (the globally accepted standard for who covers carriage costs, insurance, and duties/import fees).
  4. Trigger invoicing of orders as they ship and through defined processes within our system, ensuring the correct customers are being billed.
  5. Bulk-pack shipping boxes per standard and logical practices, ensuring goods are adequately protected as they go into transit.
  6. Create, print, and apply labels using different label software and hardware.
  7. Coordinate pick-up schedules directly with carriers.
  8. Populate and email various customer-specific and company-internal reports.
  9. Help physically load orders onto carts or carrier trucks.
  10. Maintain assigned areas with respect to safety and 5S. This includes cleaning of assigned areas each day, consolidating trash containers, dumping trash into the compactor, and operating the compactor.
  11. Help restock and organize shipping supplies/material area as needed.
  12. Perform other duties as required and assigned; duties and activities may change over time
